APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the
online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Wendy initially came in to the shelter as a stray picked up in Walnut Creek. She was adopted but returned due to her heart condition. She was quite timid when she first came in to the shelter, however, she settled down and was discovered to be a sweet and friendly girl.
We think she is a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle mix. She weighs 12 pounds and is about 10 years old.
She is a little shy at first but warms up when she feels safe. She's been known to happily play a game of chase.
Wendy is a generally quiet girl, seems house trained and gets along with other dogs. She will do best in a patient adult home with no cats.
She has a heart murmur that will require continued medication and monitoring but otherwise appears to be pretty healthy. She patiently awaits her forever home!
