Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

What a handsome boy our Shih Tzu mix Owen is! He's a happy and adorable love bug who was turned into our local shelter by his "unforever family". For reasons including him being "too old" and biting at himself (he was infested with fleas...), they requested euthanasia. He's not too old and, in our book, there's no such thing anyway. 
Owen fit right in and gets along great with dogs and cats and older children. He loves to be around his family and enjoys short walks.
He's 13 years old and 23 lbs.
Owen has a difficult time with stairs and will do best without too many. He is fine being carried.
He has plenty of pep in his step still and will be a wonderful companion for his new forever family.
