9 year old Lucky was surrendered to the shelter for euthanasia after the owner could no longer care for him. We are incredibly grateful that didn't happen and we're happy he's here with us today.
At just 7 lbs, Lucky is a tiny little guy, but has a big, fun personality. He has limited vision due to cataracts. They don't bother him at all. He can be a little nervous meeting new people, but this may be due to his limited vision. He also a luxating patella on both of his hind legs. This doesn't slow him down one bit. He's eager to jump up onto the couch to cuddle in the evenings. He gets along fine with other dogs, and a dog sibling might be best for him, to help him learn the whats and wheres in his new home (again, due to his vision). Once he's settled in, you would never know he can't see that great. He loves doing mini zoomies, playing with his people, having treats, and most of all snuggling, especially with his head on your lap. He quickly figured out his foster home, and was potty trained after less than a week.  Anyone would be lucky to have Lucky!

APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the
online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
