Sweet, sweet Chulo came to us after his mom passed away and he needed to be out of the house in short order. He's still quite confused but is finding the wag in his tail.
Chulo gets along with dogs of all sizes and he lived with a cat (please see our p.s. at the bottom).
He is 9 years old and 26 pounds (he is on a meal and fitness plan so he loses some weight!).
Chulo loves to go for (short) walks and rides well in the car. He has been playful with other dogs and likes toys from time to time.

Chulo will do best in a home where someone is home with him most of the time. He was with his mom 24/7 and, though he is learning that his people will return, he is not used to being alone. He is a wonderful, loyal companion and even a good office dog. He sleeps through the night and is mastering the doggie door concept.

He is getting cleared for a much-needed dental. After that, he's good to go!

P.S. In a perfect world, Chulo would be adopted together with his 4-year-old kitty sister. She is living with a kind neighbor until something gets worked out for her, as well.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
