Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Bocce came into the shelter with a neck injury that may have resulted from a dog attack. His wounds have healed and now he's focusing on being a little less scared of the world. 
He'll need an experienced and patient and understanding home where he can continue to heal and feel less scared - on his own time. Bocce is good with mellow dogs and he has lived with cats. 
We think Bocce is about 8 years old and he weighs 15 lbs.
He loves his chicken treats and, while he is playful, his foster mom is still figuring out toys he likes. We are working with him on leash training and know that he will learn to love his walks. 

The ideal home will be one that isn't on a busy street (he's scared of loud noises) and should have a yard. He would love a doggie companion, as he feels safer and follows the lead of other dogs.

Bocce is so sweet and gentle and he is loving as best he can. Anxiety is a part of him right now but with a forever loving home he’ll be great.
