APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the
online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Bernie is a sweet old man who has a playful side. Although he doesn’t play with toys, he’s been known to dance a little for attention. He likes to cuddle up next to you under the blankets to watch TV during the day and to sleep all night.
He seems to have some hearing loss, and his vision is not the greatest. This does not stop him from exploring outside, or from getting safely up on the couch or the bed.
He was initially curious of the resident dogs, but they let him know they don’t want to play, and now everyone lives in harmony.
He gets on fine with all people, big and small,  but seems to prefer men.
There have been no potty accidents in the house. He doesn’t care for a crate. He’s a very good eater.
His bloodwork came back showing he is quite healthy for an elderly gentleman. He is approximately 14 years old and weighs about 14 lbs. He does not take any medications.
Bernie is friendly and sweet. He just wants to be near you and get all the love and pets he can.
