Andre came to us from the local shelter as a very sad little boy. After many months of TLC and receiving and then recovering from all of the medical care that he was in dire need of, Andre is finally ready for his forever home!
Cheerful Andre is a great little guy. He eats well, likes his walks, and loves all other dogs and cats. He enjoys cuddling with his family.
Andre had two huge tumors removed recently that were putting pressure on his bladder. Although the tumors are gone Andre does have a little bladder issue. This little old man loves to nap and sleeps so soundly that sometimes even the need to pee doesn't wake him! At night, Andre does best if he has a potty break around 10 pm.
He is on a heart medication pill that he takes twice a day. This medication costs about $50/month.
Andre can be a bit mouthy so should not be in a home with young children.
He would love to have a doggy companion in his forever home and we think that he'll be a good match for someone who works from home or is retired.

APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the
online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
